Did anyone read the interview on theMaineEdge.com/buzz? There are a couple of interesting things there. 1) Fishing first, cameras second and 2) He wouldn't be surprised if this year or next were the last for DC.

His honesty about the cameras was interesting. But he is talking about his boat. If Disco wants to keep the show I could see them phasing out some of the boats and highlighting the newer ones more. They could have the CM and wherever Jake Anderson is. The Hillstrands are interested in Zack and who knows if there will be fallout over Dane. Thankfully I have a mute button for Elliott and Jr. Has Disco ever had a show that lasted this long? This might be uncharted territory for them.

Disco can have all the plans for the new boats that they want, but when the old boats go the show is OVER.

Agreed. Without the NW and TB, the show is not viable.

I would surely miss DC, and all of you nice folks I've met here.

I'm not leaving even if the show does. It's not like we can't talk about other stuff here.

No old boats = no show for me.

I think that American Chopper ran for over 10 years and The MythBuster have been on for 10 seasons.
I really don't see DC continuing without the NW and TB. If DC wants to take the show in the direction of Elliott and his drama, then they could just cancel the series or better yet, move it to TLC or some channel like that.
No NW or TB, no Deadliest Catch.

Thanks selkieman for posting the link. First thing in the morning is not a good time for me to figure out how to do stuff on my iPad.

If this video works from outside Norway, it's of Sig getting a visit from King Harald. (Mostly in Norwegian) www.tv2.no/v/919170/

Pretty cool. Thanks for posting the clip. I don't know who those two tall men were that Sig was talking with, but they looked like twins!

I actually would like to see some of the other boats out there. They may be just as interesting and intriguing as the NW and TB. I would give them a chance.

He's a constitutional monarch, rosered, meaning he has no real power at all even back home. But he is a beloved figurehead to Norwegians and Norwegian immigrants, so he does get offered a certain level of respect, kind of like the Pope does. Sig's gesture did not strike me as disrespectful to the US...just a respectful greeting to an acknowledged elder and community leader. Sig's allegiance to the US is still true, he was caught in the excitement of the moment. Heck, in my culture you bow to your grandparents and kiss their hands if you haven't seen them in a while.
How do you know Elliot is coming back? Is he mouthing off on social media again? I really hope your wrong.

A certain level of respect would have been to wear something nicer and more formal than jeans and a leather jacket! I may not be British but if I was meeting Queen Elizabeth II, I'd dress like I was going to a evening wedding, not the drive-in movie theater. Embarrassing!

Its not every day that a fisherman meets a king ! (I knew a Mining Engineer named Wopp Dee Doo. He was from Johannesburg, in South Africa.)

"I checked the IPs, it is definitely the same rosered as other remarks she has made. I know she has not been happy lately and feels censored, so I am wondering if this is some kind of "test" she put out. I'm going to ignore her for now and see what else she posts."
Was this for me personally, but for the rest of the group? and what exactly did you mean by other remarks? just curious cause it seem i am pretty cordial in this group

Rosered, I apologize, i am not sure how you got that follow up. It was meant for the board member who flagged one of your posts thinking someone else could have taken over your handle. I just made sure that post's IP was consistent with all the other log ins you have done in the past. Once a post is flagged by someone, I have to respond. I determined a second person did not take over your handle and closed it out.
The tone of the post seemed a lot more angry then what you usually post, so another poster became concerned. You weren't meant to get that follow up because there was nothing wrong on your end. I'm sorry.

By the way, as far as I know, that investigation did not go to any group. Just me, the initial complainant, and you. Flagged posts are not shared with the rest of the posters.
