now this may NOT mean anything or May or May NOT be worth noting ... but I happened to notice it ...
Sig Hansen took to his verified twitter @northwesternsig : back on Monday 16th February 2015 and posted a picture taken on the boat which shows Sig , Norman Hansen { far right of the picture } two new guys / Nick and Edgar Hansen ... with NO sign of Matt Bradley or Jake Anderson in the picture which was taken on the boat

I hope Matt is just missing from this particular picture. Last time he did not work a season was because of a relapse. Keeping fingers crossed that is not the reason for his absence here.

according to King Cove on another thread I believe that Jake Anderson is possibly on the Saga { although that is NOT 100% confirmed yet }.

After last year I felt Jake's time on the NW were numbered. He was very jealous of Mandy and his relationship with Sig just did not seem the same after the Kiska Sea incident. I thought he also at times seemed unhappy and moody. I think Sig took Jake back for tv purposes. After all, Jake went behind their back to take that job, never discussed it with them before hand, and did not tell them anything until he had accepted the job with the Kiska Sea, which is supposedly "against the rules". Moving to another boat may be the best for him. He pretty much learned as much as he could on the NW and it may have been his time to cut his ties and move on.

Is there someone who can be asked about Matt? I wouldn't be at all surprised if Jake wasn't on the NW this year, per Crabber's comments.

If you check out Facebook, you'll see Matt stayed home from Opies to work on his vape business and Jake's wife just had a baby so he was home for at least part of the season, doesn't say if he's off the NW completely.

E-cigs are sometimes called "vapes" for short because they release nicotine in a "vaporized" (ie, smokeless) form..

Congrads to Jake and his wife. I also hope he finds much happiness and new meaning to his life with the new baby. Was the baby a boy or girl? Mare - I was also wondering what "vapes" ment. This is from a non-smoker-lol. anitalalouise and darianagle - thanks for explaining that.

I took a brief look at Jake's social media and can't find a reference to the pregnancy or a birth. Anyone have a link? That would be big news and yet there does not seem to be an announcement anywhere else. Just want to verify.

The baby is a boy... named Aiden.... Jenna has her own facebook page.... i do not follow her and did not know anything about the baby... i was looking at something else (can't remember what) and there was a link to it... there are several pictures of the baby on her facebook page

Discovery has just released a picture and info on the new captain of the Saga. It is Jake. NW also issued a picture of it too.
Let's see how Jake A. does on his own.
