Looks like some boats are still fishing opilio and I will be seeing the Kodiak, with Murray Gamrath running it. Murray was on the Cornelia Marie with Phil Also will be seeing the Trailblazer who I saw several years ago and they had a DC crew on board, but none of that season was ever aired.

Maybe you can help us understand what happened to Keith's quota, King Cove. It seems that he has lost quite a bit of it to another boat during King Crab season.

This article in the Alaska Daily News says the Deadliest Catch series boats pay MORE than other boats for quota because the tv money pays their expenses and that they will fish at a LOSS for the sake of the tv show (?) Time for 'Deadliest Catch' to go home

They are still 6 boats in a group of 90, there is no way they are skewing it for everybody. They don't have the numbers to fish most of the quota available. And what Discovery pays them does not allow them to fish at a loss. King Cove is in the industry and he has asked what they get paid from Disco.

That is the most likely scenario.
