In the "it's a small world" category I attended an overnight New Year's Eve party at my wife's nephew's house. There was a young man there sporting a Bering Sea sweatshirt so I had to ask him where he got it. He is dating the sister of the nephew's wife. Turned out to be Myles Johnson who did a king and an opie season on the Cape Caution with Bill. I had to Google him after I got home because I didn't remember him. www.discovery.com/tv-shows/deadliest-catch/bios/cape-caution/myles-johnson/He started off a bit cocky, but after we talked a while and he realized what I did for a living and that I have known Bill for a long time,he settled down and seemed to be an ok guy. After fishing with Bill he went on to work on a pollock trawler and claims he got a hernia on there and now can't get another fishing job because of that injury.

Thanks for sharing this story with us, King Cove. You can't seem to escape DC where ever you go - but then, that's a good thing.

Maybe he is glad you didn't remember him. I remember the heavy baiting but not who did it.
