Thanking God that the sea took no lives this year.

Actually, just got word today from Travis via FB, one of the boats that was fishing for Dungeness off the Oregon coast capsized this morning, leaving one confirmed dead, & 2 still missing. www.currypilot.com/News/Local-News/One-dead-two-missing-after-Port-Orford-boat-capsizes-in-Coos-BayTravis said that a localized squall came up about 5:30 (morning or evening, I don't know, he did not specify) & things got nasty REAL quick, he also said their boat was 25 miles away so too far away to do anything but pray..The skipper reportedly did make it ashore, but like I said, one man died en route to the hospital & 2 are still missing Granted, I know this thread was about fishing deaths in Alaska, but still thought you guys would want to know PLEASE guys, keep these guys & their families in your thoughts/prayers I got to admit, when I saw his post (this probably makes me an awful person) the FIRST thought that popped into my head was 'Thank you Lord that Travis was the one passing the message on & that it was not his boat'...I feel terrible for even thinking such a thing when I KNOW that there are families whose loved ones will not be coming home Ok, as Abby would say "positive thoughts, positive thoughts"

Kris, you're not a bad person. One is ALWAYS relieved to hear that a friend "made it through", or escaped, a disaster....!
