Hey to all, I follow Time Bandit stuff on Twitter and John had a couple of posts about "doing Christmas early" and how busy he had been. Then there was a post about him and "the boys" going to Dutch Harbor to fish thru the holidays. I had never heard of the Disco boats fishing during Christmas. This morning there were several posts from Scott that were just random things. Did not appear that he was on the boat with John.
Hum??!! Does anyone have any thoughts?

Last year several boats started opies in December and were successful. Kiska Sea was one of them. They wanted to start early due to having to fight ice the previous two years later in the season. Just today Kiska Sea posted pictures on Facebook saying they are in St Paul making their second delivery, along with pictures of Early Dawn and Fierce Allegiance. www.facebook.com/FVKiskaSeaI'm thinking this is the new normal for opie seasons to come.

That is interesting information. Thank you King Cove. I was thinking perhaps since the TB brothers spent sssooo much money refitting the boat and then continued to have mechanical breakdowns during this past season-- that John might have tried to get a few loads of biradi crab in just to make some extra money. Had not thought of opies early. Does make sense though. Don't imagine that we will get much info on it since Disco is not filming at this time in the year. Thanks lisa

So it is probably obivous that the Time Bandit is my favorite boat and I follow them on several different sites and media. On the Time Bandits website there is a little tiny blurb that "the Time Bandit is out filming for Season 11". So perhaps disco did send a crew to the boat when they went out. Whole thing seems to be very hush hush. I have not been able to tell if Andy went out on the boat. Does not appear that Scott went simply from the posts to twitter that he has been making. uhm ?!! lisa

One of Scott's tweets was that his uncle would sink the boat before giving it to him. YIKES! Now Scott is pushing the construction business. There has got to be some history there that is not shared. I can see both sides. Scotts left then realized he wanted to fish. Andy (and at times Johnathan) have said that you have to fish all year not just crab season, which I guess is the big money time. Andy has said Scott is good at what he does. (crane and deckhand) It has to kill Scott that the Harris brothers are doing what they are doing and he would appear to have more experience and ability. Didn't Junior say that he would want to train someone to replace him? What would stop Scott or even Jake Anderson from doing that? This whole situation puts Johnathan in some uncomfortable situation. Hopefully they will show it playing out on DC, but in a truthful way not with high drama. The Hillstrands always say that they don't fight like the Hansens. But last year you saw Andy getting tired of Johnathan's antics (getting hurt when they were redoing the boat). Have they ever said how the business and paperwork end is handled. Sig does it for the NW. Resentment seems to bubbling under the surface with Andy. Might explain his grumpiness. He has also said that maybe he has to be more like his father and he seems to have been a bit of a SOB. Family interaction is interesting under normal circumstances. Sharing a business makes it very interesting!
