I am confused. So Jake will be filmed in the captain's chair just for the few minutes we see him on TV, and the other guy will be running the boat all the rest of the time? Or will Jake be running the boat all the time with the other guy there just in case something goes wrong?
And in the article, Elliott called the Saga his boat. I thought he did not own any part of the boat anymore.
If Elliott wants to live in Hawaii, he had better have a good financial plan or a way to make big bucks.

Per this DC clip:
www.facebook.com/DeadliestCatch/videos/10153370436936759/
Elliot was 'bought out'...or so says Jake.
Yet, Elliot continues to act like its 'his' boat, he has decided not to be on it this year, yada yada.
Now, Elliot's Twitter:
twitter.com/captelliott
Shows him working on the deck of a cod boat, named Icelander.
In December, he posted that 'my boys' were on a boat called the Handler. I'm not sure if 'my boys' means his friends, or if he is implying that he is now in some type of supervisory/ownership position on the Handler. (Alaska records show another individual owns 100% of the Handler).
Basically, Elliot talks a lot...but it may just be talk. If Jake is correct (and why would DC post the clip if he weren't), Elliot was bought out on the Saga (Alaska records show an individual other than Elliott owns 100% of the Saga). So, why on earth would Elliot even know whether or not there is a second 'real captain' on the boat?
I don't think Elliot knows much more about the Saga than any of us in the public do, at this point.
Footnote: Alaska records show Elliott as 33% owner of the "Ramblin Rose Productions", which has an NAICS code for "All other information services".
Another Footnote: Alaska records show Elliott is 0% owner of "FV Saga LLC", which has a NAICS code for "Shellfish Fishing" and a 50% ownership in "Saga Productions, LLC", which is coded for "Motion Picture and Video Industry".
I think Elliot's ownership has always been on the 'tv' side of the boats...and maybe never the actual boat or fishing operation.

It was time Elliot moved on and now this young Sean Dywer has a compelling story about the lost of his dad and his future hopes. Season after season of drug addiction wasn't what I think the focus of DC should be so glad to see the change.

Goodbye Elliot! No more of your drama.
Can't wait for more on Sean and how he does his first time crabbing. Must have a good reputation otherwise, I don't see Sig giving him a chance.

Thank goodness. It worries me that the audience saw what a problem Elliot was from the start, while the show thought it was fine right up until he started doing heroin while captaining a crab boat.

Agreed, anitalouise. Elliot's antics with his domestic problems at home were bad enough, and then they made us watch him become more of a dope fiend. I never liked watching that storyline at ALL.

A lot of Jake bashing when DC was airing. I couldn't find the pic you are referring to though. mobile.twitter.com/captelliott

So after I have done some research I have learned quite a few things. 1.) Elliot seems to have a lot of things to say about how he is a great fisherman. His friends who slander Jake Anderson aren't really fisherman or have never been out on a boat working. Elliot chimes in and agrees. I will tell you this... I would go to sea with Jake Anderson any day and I would be afraid Elliot would get someone hurt. 2.) I have been following Elliot on twitter for the last 8 months and all his does is perpetuate how he owns the SAGA. The Saga owner is a man by the name of Lenny Herzog. I am not sure if he is just the majority owner or he actually owns the boat outright. However, after getting the number to call to find out ownership from the dock master it shows Lenny Herzog owner.

If Elliot was indeed on the boat for King Crab he was still on drugs. He posted last night promoting his new treatment saying he's 5 months clean - which would be since December.
