Is it possible that they are fishing for something besides crab?

The Cornelia Marie is full of crab pots so I would think they are crabbing. They are still docked just down the road from my job. Everyone is waiting for the government.

wow! that was short. must not have had much of a quota. maybe just enough to go out and film a bit? i know josh said him and disco parted ways, but this smells like a filming think like a few years ago that josh did.

Maybe my memory is bad, but haven't we often seen red seasons that lasted only 5 days? I'm sure quota has something to do with it too, but that's what I'm remembering anyway. Or maybe I'm remembering derby days. I won't swear to my own name anymore.

F/V Cornelia Marie is indeed currently moored at Akutan. Could be they really did complete their quota. Remember, there has been an issue with how large it really is. With Travis on deck one would think they had enough to make it worth his being aboard along with Casey. Another thing-the weather front that is coming in is brutal and will cause some boats to seek shelter.

I've heard fishing is good. I've not been able to find out how much quota they had, but it must not have been a lot to be done so soon.
Casey posted a picture of he and Josh standing by the boat holding crabs,so Josh must be on there too.
Also,in looking at the time between the time Casey posted they were on the way to Akutan, and the time he posted they were done, only six hours had lapsed. With travel time, setup time to unload, and unloading time, they couldn't have had too much crab on board.

Oh boy, I hope it wasn't a trip staged for DC depsite Josh's posts to the contrary.

Or maybe I'm remembering derby days. I won't swear to my own name anymore. You're thinking about the Derby Days. It was before each boat had its own quota (IFQ), so it was basically a free for all with each boat attempting to catch as much as possible in the shortest period of time before the TOTAL maximal allowable harvest for the season was reached. As soon as the numbers came in that the total allowable catch for the entire season was in, fishing would be halted for everyone. There were definitely red king seasons in the Derby days that only lasted a few day.

Weird to think they are done before Halloween even with the late start. Can they still try to obtain more Red quota? Seems like they were still busy fishing up until the holidays, in the past.

I read somewhere else that the CM had around 60K. Not sure how accurate that is, but we know that the CM was not out very long. Does anyone know if anyone will be fishing for Blues?

I wonder if Seabrooke is having issues because he normally goes blue fishing first, and it looks like that was cancelled.

they are already back, plus it dont mean a thing if travis said wether or not tv crew follows them. i just got this feeling josh will find a way to put his mug on the show Isn't this just the opposite of the fangirl attitude? Haterboy perhaps? Evven when they do it right you are still looking for the half-empty? The boys have been through a lot. I wish them well. If the issue was whether they would fish without the cameras, they did. Both boys were on the boat. Jake looks healthier (and fatter) likke someone on the other side of rehab. Seems like they walked the walk this season. I hope they do great with opies. It would have been nice seeing a brand new captain (like Josh) get through the season and learn on DC. That would have been far more interesting than watching the same things from the other boats. This season: Wizard: Keith will mistreat greenhorns and manage to steal their share for the rest of the crew. Cape Caution: Bill will fight with his boy. Northwestern: Sig will arrgue with Edgar and insinuate he is incompetent, whill letting him captain the boat. Seacrook: Junior will find another way to pump his ego and scam other captains. Saga: Elliot, christ Elliot.....name your trailer-park drama, Time Bandit: Johnathan will look even more like a skeleton. Andy and the crew will fire off fireworks. The formula is getting old. I would like to see them revisit some of the other boats like Rollo, or add the Harris boys. The show is getting boring.

As for me, I wish that we can "visit" with some of the other boats but I have no wish to see or hear about the CM or the Harris boys. It had been rumored that Josh was trying to get his own show on another station. Josh loves the "limelight" and I don't see him not trying to get back on tv. I really don't believe much of anything that Josh Harris has to say. This is just my opinion.

One of the great things about TV these days: If one thinks a show is boring, there are plenty of other channels to watch.

I also read Jake was not on the boat. It hinted he was still in long term rehab. However, I guess we will just have to wait and see. I also feel they could use new boats. I am tired of Junior saying how great he is, Keith freaking out and Elliot being a nut case.

"The boys" are grown men. Who in every way up until now have been more about being on TV than anything else. If they're serious about fishing, then they don't need the cameras to do well.

in regards to josh's film ambitions,if you search travis loften's twitter account he mentions that josh's nickname on the time bandit was "josh holly" as in josh hollywood.
